征稿启事｜剧作结构·舞台呈现·时代经验——首届赖声川戏剧作品研究国际学术研讨会将于九月在南京举行

由南京艺术学院主办，南京艺术学院电影电视学院、南京艺术学院赖声川戏剧研究中心和南京大学戏剧影视研究所联合承办的“剧作结构·舞台呈现·时代经验——首届赖声川戏剧作品研究国际学术研讨会”将于9月23日-25日在南京举行。

为保证学术水准，凡有意向参加本次论坛者，须结合主题提交正式学术论文，且论文应为在本论坛首次发表，字数在10000－15000字（含注释）。研讨会主办方将聘请专家评审组进行匿名论文评审。论文符合规范且通过评审者，将会收到正式参会通知。本论坛鼓励有志于戏剧研究的青年学者，将在邀请比例、论坛发言、论文结集出版等方面给予重点考虑。本次研讨会将设置主论坛、分组讨论、互动点评等环节。

我们荣幸地邀您报名参与此次学术盛会并发表鸿文，嘉惠学林，如您的论文入选，主办单位将承担正式参会者会议期间的食宿费用。交通费及其它费用请自理。

The International Symposium

on Stan Lai’s Theatre Studies

Call for Papers

The 1st International Symposium on Stan Lai’s Theatre Works will be held September 23-25，2022 in Nanjing, China. With the theme of Dramatic Structure /Theatrical Expression / Historical Reflections, the Symposium is hosted by Nanjing University of the Arts (NUA), co-hosted by NUA Stan Lai’s Centre for Theatre Research and Nanjing University Research Institute for Theater, Film & Television.

To ensure academic quality, all interested parties must present formal academic papers of the length of 10000 to 15000 words (including footnotes), that will have not been previously published. The organizing committee will invite a committee of experts to evaluate anonymously all submissions. Qualified applicants will receive official invitation letters as notice of acceptance.

The Symposium wishes to encourage young scholars who are devoted to academic research in theatre, through priority in invitation, presentation, and publication opportunities. The Symposium will consist of the main forum, panel discussions, interaction and reviews, and a wide range of activities.

We sincerely invite you to submit an academic paper on this subject. If your paper is selected, we will provide for your food and accommodations during the Symposium. You will be responsible for transportation and any other expenses.

The deadline for submission is July 20, 2022. Your paper (including Abstract in Chinese and English) should be sent via the designated e-mail address before the deadline. Please follow the Guidelines (see Appendix 1) concerning formatting.

Once your paper has been approved by the committee, we will send your official invitation letter and be in touch with you.

赖声川

华人剧作家、导演

“现今最顶尖的中文剧作家”（BBC）、“亚洲剧场导演之翘楚”（《亚洲周刊》）、“是当代亚洲，也可能是亚洲有史以来重要的剧作家”（罗伯特·布鲁斯汀，Robert Brustein）。自1984年起，40余部戏剧作品影响遍及华语世界，包括：《那一夜，我们说相声》《暗恋桃花源》《宝岛一村》、超长戏剧《如梦之梦》和《曾经如是》等。

出版《赖声川的创意学》，及包含16个剧本的《赖声川剧作集（一、二辑）》（中信出版社）。由赖声川亲自翻译、含12部剧作的三册合集，已在美出版。赖声川于2019年获锡比乌国际戏剧节名人步道一颗星，为华人世界得此殊荣第一人。赖声川曾在台北艺术大学任教二十余年，并任戏剧学院创院院长，曾任斯坦福大学教授，加州大学伯克利分校、加州艺术学院、上海戏剧学院客座教授。现任上海上剧场、台北【表演工作坊】艺术总监，上剧堂创办人，同时为乌镇戏剧节发起人、常任主席、评委会主席。

STAN LAI

Playwright, Director

Stan Lai is considered the best Chinese language playwright and director in the world (BBC) and Asia's top theatre director (Asiaweek). Robert Brustein calls him an indispensable figure in world theatre... he remains unchallenged as the major contemporary Asian playwright of his time, perhaps of all time. Since 1984, Lai's plays have greatly influenced theatre in the Chinese-language world, including those regarded as masterpieces of the modern Chinese-language theatre such as Secret Love in Peach Blossom Land, The Village and his epic 8-hour A Dream Like A Dream, called by China Daily possibly the greatest Chinese-language play since time immemorial, and his latest 5 hour epic AGO.

Lai's publications include his influential Stan Lai on Creativity, a 2 boxed set of 16 plays (in Chinese), and a 3 volume, 12 play collection Selected Plays of Stan Lai of his own English translations published by the University of Michigan Press. Among other awards, Lai received a star on the Walk of Fame at the Sibiu International Theatre Festival. Lai is also an award-winning feature filmmaker and acclaimed opera and events director, as well as a noted theatre educator, having taught over two decades at Taipei National university of the Arts, and also at Stanford, Berkeley, CalArts and the Shanghai Theatre Academy. Lai is currently Artistic Director of Performance Workshop, Taiwan; and Theatre Above, Shanghai, a venue dedicated to the performance of his works, as well as founder of Theatre Training Above. He is Co-founder, Festival Director and Jury Head of the Wuzhen Theatre Festival.
